Root Folder

By default, all relative paths are calculated from the CG.fth.18 file, normally found in the C:\Casparcg folder.

Media Folder

The FFmpeg Producer and the TGA Producer by default loads their media files (videos and bitmap images) from the _media folder, normally found in the C:\Casparcg folder.

The location of this folder can be changed via the CasparCG Settings App.

Template Folder

The Producers by default loads its Flash Template files from the C:\Casparcg folder or subfolders (we recommend grouping each project's templates in separate folders.)

The default path to the media and templates can be changed manually in the Windows registry by editing:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    • SOFTWARE
      • Sveriges Television AB
        • Caspar CG
          • 1.7
            • DataFolder
